Commencement of aerial monitoring at ZAPSIBTRANSGAS LLC facilities

In February 2022, ZALA AERO flight units started performing aerial monitoring of ZAPSIBTRANSGAZ LLC facilities using unmanned aerial systems.
Aerial monitoring is performed using ZALA 421-16E HD aircraft-type UAVs and target loads for daytime and nighttime imagery. All acquired data are automatically uploaded to the Global Monitoring System, which combines data processing, storage and transmission functions for access to information during all phases of air patrols. Orthophotos and terrain models are also uploaded to the programme on a regular basis.
Thanks to photo and video data received from drones, the Customer can regularly monitor the condition of condensate pipelines and the surrounding area, identify places of unauthorised actions of third parties, locations of people and vehicles, violation of the integrity of objects, etc.
Air monitoring is carried out by three flight groups according to a pre-agreed plan. Also, at the Customer's request, unscheduled monitoring requests are fulfilled in areas of special importance and interest.
The linear part of aviation monitoring covers more than 2,700 kilometres and is performed in the Yamalo-Nenets and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrugs, as well as in the Tyumen Region. The full range of services will be provided for 3 years, inclusive until the end of 2024.
The majority of Zapsibtransgaz facilities are located in inaccessible terrain and pass through swamps, large navigable rivers, as well as many channels of small rivers and lakes, which is why the use of unmanned aerial systems is the optimal choice for monitoring. ZALA UAVs can be used at extremely low temperatures (down to -55°C) and strong winds (15 m/s), which is a mandatory characteristic for the application of the systems in the harsh conditions of Western Siberia.
About SIBUR
"SIBUR is Russia's largest integrated petrochemical company and one of the fastest growing companies in the global petrochemical industry.
The peculiarity of the Company's operations is that petrochemical enterprises are mainly provided with raw materials of their own production, obtained from by-products of hydrocarbon production purchased from oil and gas companies.
