Accurate data from ZALA Z-16 helped artillerymen destroy an AFU stronghold
An AFU stronghold was detected by a ZALA Z-16 reconnaissance UAV in a rear area of Kharkiv Region. The coordinates of the target were transmitted in real time to the BM-27 «Uragan» artillery crew of Troops Group North.
«Taking into account the transmission of precise target coordinates, the fire was conducted with minimal correction by fragmentation-fugitive rocket-propelled grenades. Thanks to this, specialists from the 244th Artillery Brigade managed to successfully destroy the enemy stronghold despite its remoteness from the line of contact,» the Russian Defence Ministry said.
Coordinated interaction between air reconnaissance and artillery units in a single reconnaissance-fire loop noticeably increases the autonomy of actions of disparate tactical groups, reducing the time required to prepare the guns for firing and increasing the accuracy of fire. Objective control footage from the ZALA Z-16 once again confirmed the successful engagement of the target.
