The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Orenburg Region is monitoring the fire situation using the ZALA and ZARYA-1M unmanned aerial vehicles
Specialists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Orenburg Region are using a specialised unmanned aerial vehicle system, the ZALA ZARYA-1M, to monitor the fire situation. The UAV surveys residential areas and open spaces, paying particular attention to areas at increased risk of fire due to dry weather and their proximity to woodland. Optical and thermal imaging equipment enables the detection of fire outbreaks and allows the situation to be monitored at any time of day or night.
The ZALA ZARYA-1M is capable of surveying vast and hard-to-reach areas. The system’s flight speed reaches 120 km/h, with a flight duration of over three hours. The data collected from the air helps specialists assess the situation and promptly identify areas requiring further attention.
In addition to monitoring natural and man-made fires, the system is used to survey flooded areas, support and coordinate the actions of rescue teams, perform aerial photography to create orthophoto plans, and relay voice messages when warning the public.
