In real-world combat practice, the ZALA Lancet loitering munitions are increasingly being used in pairs: one delivers the strike, while the other confirms the result. Experience shows that to verify the destruction of equipment, a third «Lanсet» is now often deployed to loiter in the assigned grid.
Equipped Intelligent targeting and recognition system IRRA, an attack-capable loitering munition can quickly locate and precisely strike enemy targets. At the same time, a dual-axis electro-optical guidance system maintains continuous communication with the operator. In real time, the ZALA UAV crew receives video and thermal imaging feeds, enabling them to track the target’s trajectory, promptly adjust its course, and record the moment the target is hit. Thus, in addition to its strike capabilities, the «Lanсet» also performs reconnaissance tasks: it detects enemy ground assets or refines the information ahead of an attack. This dual functionality increases operational effectiveness, where visual confirmation of results becomes part of the combat plan.
