Pilot testing of airborne laser scanning for CJSC Izhevsk Petroleum Research Centre

ZALA AERO specialists conducted the first stage of pilot tests of airborne laser scanning technology for CJSC Izhevsk Petroleum Research Centre. The work was carried out under the Agreement between Rostec State Corporation and Rosneft Oil Company, which implies cooperation in the implementation of innovative technologies using unmanned systems.

A helicopter-type unmanned system with a laser scanner and a camera surveyed the oil and gas infrastructure, resulting in a dense point cloud with geodetic-grade georeferencing. Based on these data, ZALA AERO specialists created an orthophotomap of the area and a three-dimensional terrain model, which are planned to be used for engineering surveys.
