The operations of the ZALA «Lancet» reconnaissance unit deep behind Ukrainian Armed Forces lines
Crews operating the ZALA «Lancet» rocket launchers from the «West» military group are helping to destroy the enemy’s logistics and cut off the Ukrainian Armed Forces« communications with their rear. Whilst mop-up operations are still underway in Krasny Liman, ZALA operators are already working deep behind enemy lines — at a distance of up to 150 kilometres — and striking targets directly in Sloviansk. According to the soldiers, the »Lancet’ loitering munition is highly effective at destroying moving vehicles, and thanks to artificial intelligence, the probability of hitting the target is virtually 100 per cent.
«The „Lancet“ is equipped with an intelligent capture system – it locks onto the target and destroys it. The other day, it hit a Bushmaster armoured vehicle, an armoured personnel carrier, and a pickup truck,» reported the head of the crew with the call sign "Vanga".
Target detection at such a range is provided by the ZALA Z-20 M reconnaissance UAV, which is capable of automatically evading attacks by interceptors.
«It protects against FPV attacks and „Chakluns“. The connection is stable — it passes through electronic warfare systems without a hitch, bypassing them. It has an auto-tilt function, allowing it to evade FPV drones,» explained the operator of the ZALA crew, call sign Motor.
