ZALA «Lepestok-F»: an intelligent object detection module with autonomous video navigation
ZALA has unveiled its new «Lepestok-F» hardware-software complex — an add-on module for the ZALA T-16 and T-20 unmanned aerial vehicles. It is equipped with its own processor and operates in parallel with the main payload. The video navigation system built into «Lepestok-F» enables flight without satellite communication, whilst neural networks analyse observation data in real time, detecting and classifying objects.
The operator receives data at a separate ground station in the form of a tape with cards of found objects, their coordinates and descriptions. All selected objects of interest appear on the map as markers. A report with detailed parameters can be generated for each of them.
All calculations are performed on board during the flight. The accumulated high-resolution materials are saved for subsequent stitching of detailed orthophotomaps. At the same time, the ground detection accuracy reaches 0.038 m/pixel. The modular design is easily integrated with standard T-16 and T-20 models, expanding their functionality without altering the platform.
