ZALA T‑16: working on behalf of the Coastguard
On Sakhalin, ZALA, in collaboration with the Coastguard of the Russian FSB’s Border Service, demonstrated a scenario for the intelligent monitoring of maritime waters using the ZALA T-16 UAV.
The demonstration took place at night. Equipped with a thermal imager and On-board complex of IRRA Using artificial intelligence, the ZALA T-16 automatically detected and classified a tanker that had entered a no-sail zone. Via the digital platform ZALA 4Z1 Information about the «offender» was immediately passed to the Coastguard.
Following an unsuccessful attempt to establish radio contact with the vessel’s crew, a warning was transmitted from the ZALA T-16 using a laser designator. A command was directed at the intruder via the laser beam: «Stop immediately!», after which the vessel came to a halt. A Coastguard vessel was then dispatched to the scene of the incident to carry out checks and detain the suspected intruder.
A demonstration on Sakhalin confirmed the capabilities of ZALA technologies in creating a unified digital maritime situational awareness system, enabling the rapid detection of intruders, data transmission and the coordination of response forces.
