«Stronger signal, greater range»: ZALA «Lancet» remote-controlled units operate at depths of over 100 km

The ZALA «Lancet» missile system is effectively striking targets in the Kramatorsk and Sloviansk sectors. Operators discussed the system’s new capabilities in a report on Channel One.

According to military personnel, the modern «Lancet» loitering munitions maintain a stable connection despite electronic warfare measures and are capable of destroying targets at ranges of over 100 kilometres. Today, ZALA crews are delivering high-precision strikes against enemy military infrastructure deep behind enemy lines, disrupting logistics routes, striking command posts, personnel locations and other priority targets. At the same time, the on-board intelligent guidance and target recognition system, trained on large datasets of video footage, enables the system to distinguish with high accuracy between military and civilian vehicles and to track a selected target automatically.

«This is Kramatorsk. We distinguish between military and civilian vehicles. The target is more than a kilometre away, and the system has already identified it. We can begin locking onto the target,» says the operator of the ZALA «Lancet» remote-controlled unit.

The operator has no doubt that thanks to the high degree of autonomy of the onboard control system, the Lancet will arrive precisely at its target, even in the event of a complete loss of communication.
