Technologies at the top: ZALA AERO GROUP at the International Military-Technical Forum "Army 2020"

ZALA AERO GROUP annually takes part in the Army International Forum. In 2020, the company presented an updated product range of both unmanned aircraft systems and specialised digital solutions.
The main event of 2020 was a complete upgrade of the ZALA production line, the capabilities of which are unparalleled in Russia. The complexes received updated target loads, an integrated onboard supercomputer, the most efficient engines and other upgrades to improve tactical and technical performance. The flight duration of the new-generation unmanned aircraft increased by 15% due to the use of "smart" type batteries. The upgraded UAVs are now equipped with a repeater as standard, increasing the radius of application of the complex. The on-board computer provides several unique functions previously unavailable for this class of UAVs. Such functions are: real-time HD video stream broadcasting, Full HD video recording on an encrypted solid-state drive with a capacity of more than 500 gigabytes, dual radio direction finder, 5-level navigation system, unique system of detection and identification of objects by video or photo based on artificial intelligence.

The first ZALA unmanned aerial system built on the new 4th generation hardware and software platform is the ZALA 421-16EV vertical take-off and landing UAV. The complex is designed as a "convertoplane", combining proven solutions of the flagship ZALA 421-16E and the latest scientific and technical developments of the company. This complex is suitable for operations in wooded and swampy areas due to the ability to launch and land the BVS without a specially prepared site and catapult. To date, more than 50 complexes of this type are already in operation in the harsh regions of the Far North and Eastern Siberia. Combining the best of helicopter and aeroplane types of UAVs, this novelty has undoubtedly become a representative of a new era in the development of unmanned aircraft technology.
A new software product based on artificial intelligence - automatic decryption system - has been added to ZALA's line of digital solutions. The system allows to quickly and qualitatively identify changes in the earth surface images of any size without complex and routine manual operations. Also new this year was the 4Z1 service - a solution for centralised storage, processing and transfer of information materials obtained as a result of flights using BVS.
New generation aircraft and target payloads, as well as specialised ZALA AERO software, comply with the STANAG 4609 international standard. The system makes it possible to separate the levels of access to the received information and functionality of the unmanned aircraft system from simple real-time video stream viewing to full-fledged aircraft control.

Within the framework of the International Technical Forum, ZALA AERO will present a simulator complex for training BVS operators. The simulator opens up new opportunities for training specialists in the basics of flight and methods of application of various ZALA UAV systems. The Virtual Reality add-on module turns the simulator into a full-fledged flight simulator, allowing initial training of operators, teaching additional skills and regular maintenance of qualification at a high level. The system allows simulation of flights of any complexity under various meteorological conditions, as well as under conditions of external factors, such as radio interference.
ZALA AERO invites you to get acquainted with all the new products at the exposition within the framework of the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2020", located at the Kalashnikov Demo Centre.
