Fragments of the Soyuz-2 launch vehicle were found with the help of the ZALA ballistic missile launcher

On 29 May, a Soyuz-2 rocket carrying 36 British OneWeb communications satellites was launched from the Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Amur Region. These spacecraft are designed to provide the population with high-speed Internet access.

"Roscosmos confirmed that the launch, stage separation and orbital unit separation went on as normal.

After the launch of the launch vehicle, representatives of the Ministry of Ecology of the RS(Ya) with the branch of JSC "TsENKI"-NII SK and FGBU CAC "Khabarovsky" made overflights in the areas of the fall of Soyuz-2 parts in Aldan district and Kobyaisky ulus with the use of unmanned aircraft systems ZALA AERO to search for fragments.

Four fragments of the rocket's head fairing flaps were found in the Aldan district, and two fragments of the central block were found in the Kobyaisky ulus.

Parts of the launch vehicle will soon be removed from these areas. At present, air and ground searches for other fragments are continuing.
