"ZALA AERO and UAV LATAM have signed a contract for the supply of seven UAVs produced by ZALA AERO between 2022 and 2023," the Panamanian company's press office said. The contract also includes the promotion of UAVs and UAV countermeasures developed by ZALA AERO in eight Latin American countries where UAV LATAM is represented.
ZALA AERO will also provide training for UAV operators, the press office said. "Under the contract, ZALA AERO will assist UAV LATAM in the construction of a training centre for UAV operators using simulators and virtual reality technologies. The parties have also agreed to carry out a project to build a centre for artificial intelligence technologies for data processing and analysis," the company said
UAV LATAM is the largest UAV operator in Latin America. In particular, its UAV Peru division has been using five different UAVs produced by ZALA AERO since 2017.
