Marines from the 61st Brigade assessed the advantages of a disposable launcher for «Lancets».»
The fire control unit ZALA «Lancet» of the 61st Guards Marine Brigade, part of the «Centre» military group, highlighted the advantages single-use launcher on the front line. The technology was developed by ZALA engineers specifically for launching the largest loitering munition in the «Lancet» series – «Product 51». According to the commander of the UAV platoon, call sign Kot, the single-use launcher has significantly sped up the preparation of the «Lancets» for launch and improved the safety of the crews. Inside the launcher is a pyrotechnic charge which accelerates the loitering munition immediately after launch.
«The disposable launcher makes our life much easier. It's practical and simple to use, and convenient to transport. In turn, this greatly enhances the safety of the technicians, as they can launch from under the tree canopy to improve the concealment of the crew,» Kot explained.
Currently, ZALA units are striking Ukrainian Armed Forces logistics targets in the Dobropillia sector, destroying vehicles and warehouses and disrupting supply routes to Ukrainian units. Operators of the ZALA Z-16 reconnaissance UAVs confirm that the «Lancets» are hitting targets with precision at ranges of up to 113 kilometres, despite intense electronic warfare countermeasures from the enemy.
