ZALA Z-16: Key developments in reconnaissance and objective monitoring in May 2026
The ZALA Z-16 reconnaissance UAVs continue to perform their reconnaissance, surveillance and target acquisition tasks with confidence on behalf of Russian units. Even when the enemy makes intensive use of electronic warfare measures, the ZALA UAVs maintain the stability of their control channels and provide headquarters with a continuous flow of up-to-date information on troop deployments, the movement of equipment and the nature of fortifications at tactical and operational depths. High-resolution optics, supplemented by infrared and thermal imaging cameras, as well as the IRRA intelligent target recognition system, ensure detailed imaging around the clock and in adverse weather conditions.
Intelligence information is transmitted in real time, giving command the ability to make decisions without delay. Z-16 are conducting objective monitoring of results air strikes, adjust the operation artillery и MLRS, registering high-precision strikes «Lancet» loitering munitions».
