Students Siberian Fire and Rescue Academy of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations They ZALA ZARYA are mastering unmanned systems developed specifically for the needs of rescue services. For two years now, a program of professional training for operators of unmanned aerial systems has been successfully implemented at the university.
For a quality educational process, all the necessary infrastructure has been created here, a fleet of UAVs has been formed, including aircraft-type ones, which are replenished annually. All training sites have air space usage permits. Starting in 2026, training has been included in the academy’s state order. Over the past year, 120 cadets have completed the program, and since its launch, about 700 have done so.
As a reminder, the ZALA ZARYA-1 and ZARYA-1M complexes are used in more than 60 units of the Russian Federal Fire Service.
The BVS’s flight range reaches 50 kilometers, and its duration is over three hours. This helps rescuers track the situation in inaccessible and dangerous areas for ground teams and transmit data online. It is ZARYA possible to install targeting payloads with a video module, thermal imaging system, an alert system, and dosimetric equipment for searching for people and radiation monitoring on the systems.
As a result, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a UAV for comprehensive assessment of the terrain, which allows for the prompt receipt of information from the scene of incidents and reduces the risks to personnel during emergencies.
